Antique
Shopping
The list of antique
stores in New Orleans is almost as
long and diverse as the area’s
bar population. Stores carry
everything from 18th and 19th
century French furnishings to
American jewelry and porcelain to
Italian and Chinese objets d’art
and accessories. Without a doubt,
insofar as antique shopping is
concerned, New Orleans is the
place to be! Keep in mind that
some of the best antique stores
are located along Magazine Street
in the Garden District (outside of
the French Quarter).
This is one of New Orleans’ premier shopping streets,
with more than 140 personalized
shops waiting for your perusal.
Aside from the many antique
stores, there are numerous art
galleries, boutiques, crafts, and
doll shops here as well. Most
stores are situated between
Felicity and Washington Streets,
but establishments stretch all the
way to Audubon Park. Below we have
listed some of the most popular
antique shops on Magazine Street,
followed by other cool stores
located elsewhere.
